Our Glassdoor Jobs API allows you to scrape job listings from Glassdoor job search.

Jobs of companies with a Glassdoor page link to the company's reviews on our Glassdoor Reviews API.

The API endpoint is https://serpapi.com/search?engine=glassdoor_jobs

Head to the playground for a live and interactive demo.

API parameters

Search query

q

Optional

Parameter defines the job search query, like the job title or keyword search box of Glassdoor (e.g., software engineer, nurse, or Python).

q, location, or employer_id is required.

Geographic location

location

Optional

Parameter defines the location of the jobs, like the location search box of Glassdoor: a city, state or country (e.g., New York, NY, Texas, London, or Germany). We use the first location Glassdoor suggests with that name, or else its first suggestion, and the JSON response shows it in search_information.location. Without it, Glassdoor searches jobs in the United States.

Without q, Glassdoor doesn't search some countries (e.g., Canada or Germany), and the JSON response has an error.

q, location, or employer_id is required.

radius

Optional

Parameter defines the maximum distance from location, in miles in the United States and in kilometers elsewhere, like the Distance filter of Glassdoor. It defaults to 25 for cities.

Available options:
0 - Within 0
5 - Within 5
10 - Within 10
15 - Within 15
25 - Within 25
50 - Within 50
100 - Within 100

Advanced filters

date_posted

Optional

Parameter defines the maximum number of days since the jobs were posted.

Available options:
1 - Last day
3 - Last 3 days
7 - Last week
14 - Last 2 weeks
30 - Last month

job_type

Optional

Parameter defines the type of the jobs.

Available options:
full_time - Full-time
part_time - Part-time
contract - Contract

seniority_level

Optional

Parameter defines the seniority level of the jobs.

Available options:
internship - Internship
entry_level - Entry level
mid_senior_level - Mid-senior level
director - Director
executive - Executive

remote

Optional

Parameter defines whether to only show remote jobs, like the Remote only filter of Glassdoor. It can be set to true or false (default).

easy_apply

Optional

Parameter defines whether to only show jobs you can apply to on Glassdoor, like the Easy Apply only filter of Glassdoor. It can be set to true or false (default).

min_rating

Optional

Parameter defines the minimum Glassdoor rating of the companies, from 1 to 4 (e.g., 4 for companies rated 4.0 and up).

min_salary

Optional

Parameter defines the minimum yearly salary of the jobs, in the currency of location (e.g., 100000).

max_salary

Optional

Parameter defines the maximum yearly salary of the jobs, in the currency of location (e.g., 150000).

employer_id

Optional

Parameter defines the Glassdoor ID of the company to show the jobs of (e.g., 9079 for Google). It is the number after E in Glassdoor company URLs (e.g., https://www.glassdoor.com/Reviews/Google-Reviews-E9079.htm), and the company_id of jobs and employer_id of our Glassdoor Companies API results.

q, location, or employer_id is required.

Pagination

next_page_token

Optional

Parameter defines the token of the next page of results. Up to 30 results are returned per page, for up to 30 pages.

The token is in the JSON response: serpapi_pagination.next_page_token. Use it with the same other parameters as the search it comes from.

SerpApi parameters

engine

Required

Set parameter to glassdoor_jobs to use the Glassdoor Jobs API engine.

no_cache

Optional

Parameter will force SerpApi to fetch the Glassdoor Jobs results even if a cached version is already present. A cache is served only if the query and all parameters are exactly the same. Cache expires after 1h. Cached searches are free, and are not counted towards your searches per month. It can be set to false (default) to allow results from the cache, or true to disallow results from the cache. no_cache and async parameters should not be used together.

async

Optional

Parameter defines the way you want to submit your search to SerpApi. It can be set to false (default) to open an HTTP connection and keep it open until you got your search results, or true to just submit your search to SerpApi and retrieve them later. In this case, you'll need to use our Searches Archive API to retrieve your results. async and no_cache parameters should not be used together. async should not be used on accounts with Ludicrous Speed enabled.

zero_trace

Optional

Enterprise only. Parameter enables ZeroTrace mode. It can be set to false (default) or true. Enable this mode to skip storing search parameters, search files, and search metadata on our servers. This may make debugging more difficult.

api_key

Required

Parameter defines the SerpApi private key to use.

output

Optional

Parameter defines the format of the result. It can be set to json (default) to get a structured JSON of the results, html to get the raw HTML retrieved, or md to get a Markdown-formatted version optimized for LLMs and AI agents.

json_restrictor

Optional

Parameter defines the fields you want to include in the output, reducing payload size for faster response. See the JSON Restrictor documentation for more details.

API results

JSON results

JSON output includes structured data for Jobs Results and Pagination.

A search status is accessible through search_metadata.status. It flows this way: Processing -> Success || Error. If a search has failed, error will contain an error message. search_metadata.id is the search ID inside SerpApi.

HTML results

This API does not have a full HTML response, only text. search_metadata.prettify_html_file contains a link to the prettified version of the result. It is displayed in the playground.

Markdown results

Markdown output is optimized for LLMs and AI agents. It provides a curated view of the JSON results in a token-efficient format using tables, markdown links, and YAML frontmatter.

To access, use the output=md parameter, the /search.md endpoint, or request header Accept: text/markdown.

API examples

Result for  q: software engineer and  location: New York, NY

The location is the first one Glassdoor suggests for the location text. It's in search_information.location.

Result for  q: software engineer and  location: New York, NY

Example of an hourly salary

Like on Glassdoor, the salary is a range from the 10th to the 90th percentile of the pay, in thousands for yearly pay, and with cents for other pay periods. salary_range has the pay as numbers, with its median, currency and period.
