Google Scholar Author Citation API

Google Scholar Author Citation API allows a user to scrape the citation results of a Google Scholar Author search. SerpApi is able to scrape, extract, and make sense of this information. When SerpApi encounters citation results, we add them to our JSON output.

We are able to extract: title, link, resources, authors, publication_date, journal, description, total_citations results and more. These results are connected to each authors article, and are accessed by providing citation_id, and setting view_op parameter to view_citation.

API Parameters

citation_id

Required

Parameter is used for retrieving individual article citation. It is a required parameter when view_op=view_citation is selected. You can access IDs inside our structured JSON response.

view_op

Required

Parameter is used for viewing specific parts of a page. It has two options:

view_citation - Select to view citations. citation_id is required.
list_colleagues - Select to view all co-authors

"description": "The estrogen receptor is the master transcriptional regulator of breast cancer phenotype and the archetype of a molecular therapeutic target. We mapped all estrogen receptor and RNA polymerase II binding sites on a genome-wide scale, identifying the authentic cis binding sites and target genes, in breast cancer cells. Combining this unique resource with gene expression data demonstrates distinct temporal mechanisms of estrogen-mediated gene regulation, particularly in the case of estrogen-suppressed genes. Furthermore, this resource has allowed the identification of cis-regulatory sites in previously unexplored regions of the genome and the cooperating transcription factors underlying estrogen signaling in breast cancer.",
