Google AI Mode API

We’ve added a powerful new field to our Google AI Mode API: reconstructed_markdown. Until now, the API has focused on extracting AI Mode responses into fully structured JSON fields such as text blocks, lists, tables, shopping results, local results, inline videos, related questions, and references. While this structured format remains available and ideal for granular processing, the new reconstructed_markdown field provides the complete AI Mode response as clean, readable Markdown. Instead of consuming segmented JSON components, developers can now retrieve the entire answer in a ready-to-render format that preserves headings, bullet points, emphasis, and overall layout. This makes it significantly easier to display AI Mode responses directly in applications, store them for content workflows, or pass them into LLM pipelines without additional formatting logic, giving developers both structured precision and presentation-ready flexibility in a single API.
