SerpApi recently released a Google Hotels API, which allows users to scrape hotel and vacation rental details from Google Hotels.

SerpApi contributor Mikhail Zub published a package on NPM back in April (2023), which allowed JavaScript developers to scrape hotel data from AirBnB, Booking.com, and Hotels.com. SerpApi users can now also scrape hotel data from Google Hotels search results with the Google Hotels API.

This is the newest addition to SerpApi's collection of over 50 different web-scraping APIs for scraping search engine results pages, including APIs for most Google search types as well as Bing, Baidu, Yahoo, Yandex, Walmart, and Home Depot among others. Other recent additions include the Google Ads Transparency Center API, Google Flights API, Google Patent API, and Duck Duck Go Maps API.

The Google Hotels API supports easily extracting the name, brand details, pricing information, description, rating, amenities, nearby locations, hotel class, and other details from hotels present in Google Hotels search results.

When searching using the Google Hotels API, users can input check-in and check-out dates, number of adults and children for the stay, and specify country, language, and currency. The API also supports a vast number of filters, allowing users to limit results by price, amenities, rating, brand, class, and more.

Resources

SerpApi provides a user-friendly Playground for easy experimentation with all of their APIs. A demonstration of the Google Hotels API can be seen here.

Developers can learn how to use the Google Hotels API by visiting SerpApi's documentation pages.

SerpApi also provides libraries supporting integration with many popular programming languages, including Python, JS, Ruby, PHP, Java, C#, C++, Swift, Go, and Rust. Documentation for these libraries can be found on the integrations page.

Non-developers who want to use the Google Hotels API without writing code also have the option of using the SerpApi Google Sheets Extension, though the use of a programming language is usually encouraged for greater flexibility and better support.

About SerpApi

SerpApi started in 2017 after founder and CEO Julien Khaleghy tried to scrape images from Google as part of the process of building a few picture analysis iOS apps. He found that scraping images from Google was an intensive process. Seeing that no service existed at the time to handle all of the many steps involved, he decided to implement his own solution and provide it as a service. The full story of how SerpApi started can be found here.

SerpApi is now a leading provider of web scraping and data extraction solutions, offering a suite of APIs that enable organizations to access critical data from the web efficiently and reliably. SerpApi supports open-source software and maintains libraries for developers to help them with their scraping, testing, and AI such as nokolexborturbo_tests, and serpapis-ai-image-classifier.
