The [SerpApi India Hackathon](https://serpapi.com/blog/introducing-the-serpapi-india-hackathon-2026/) 2026 received **over 700 entries**, with developers building across **six tracks** and support from **five community partners across India**.

Thank you to everyone who submitted a project. We appreciate the time you spent building, testing, and showing us what you could do with SerpApi.

We’re excited to announce the overall winners, community award recipients, and winners across all six tracks.

## First Place: serpapi\_fdw

**Built by Krishna Janaswamy**
**Prize: ₹1,00,000 and 15,000 SerpApi credits**

Developers using PostgreSQL or Supabase often need a separate backend service to bring search results into their applications. Krishna built `serpapi_fdw` to make that possible directly from the database.

The project lets developers call SerpApi through SQL and receive search results as database rows. Those results can then be combined with an application’s own records, saved for later analysis, or collected through scheduled jobs. A price-tracking application, for example, could retrieve shopping results and store them alongside its product catalog.

It’s a practical way to bring search into a workflow many developers already use.

## Second Place: Milo AI

**Built by Madhavaram Rishitha**
**Prize: ₹40,000 and 10,000 SerpApi credits**

Planning a group trip usually means collecting everyone’s budgets, departure cities, and preferences from a long conversation. Milo AI brings the planning into the Telegram group where that conversation already happens.

Milo gathers the group’s requirements and searches for flights from each person’s city, hotel options, and places to visit. It helps coordinate arrival times, lets the group vote on hotels, and puts together a shared itinerary with a cost breakdown.

SerpApi supplies flight, hotel, local-place, and travel information. The searches reflect the group’s needs, such as different departure locations and a shared accommodation budget. Group members can also request changes through chat, such as adding an activity to a particular day.

Milo takes on much of the research that usually falls to one friend who becomes the unofficial trip planner.

## Third Place: Kal Aana

**Built by Tahcin Sarwar**
**Prize: ₹20,000 and 10,000 SerpApi credits**

“Kal aana” means “come back tomorrow.” Tahcin’s project investigates a familiar frustration: finding reliable information about public offices and understanding the problems people report when using them.

Kal Aana compares official information about Bengaluru’s public offices with what people find through search engines and public reviews. It highlights differences in contact details and examines reports of service delays, keeping the supporting sources and collection dates available for inspection.

SerpApi supplies Maps listings, reviews, and search evidence for these comparisons. The project also separates reviews specifically searched for complaints from its broader review sample, helping readers interpret the findings more carefully.

Citizens, journalists, and civic groups can use the office pages and report cards to investigate discrepancies and follow the evidence behind them.

## Best From Each Community

Each community award includes **₹10,000 and 5,000 SerpApi credits**.

Community awards go to the highest-ranked eligible project from each partner community after excluding overall winners.

- **BangPypers:** [**Realty Intel**](https://github.com/mrinesh/SerpAPI%5FHack)**, by Rinesh Maddi and Dhruv Kulkarni.** Realty Intel helps property buyers compare options using property listings, local facilities, and rental information retrieved through SerpApi. It shows the sources and assumptions behind its comparisons so buyers can investigate further.
- **PyDelhi:** [**TripMission**](https://github.com/jagdish575/TripMission)**, by Jagdish Prajapati.** TripMission plans travel around reaching a specific venue by a required time, such as arriving for an exam. It uses SerpApi to compare transport and accommodation options while accounting for the final journey to the destination.
- **AI Geeks Chennai:** [**Frugal**](https://github.com/desilva23/frugal)**, by Desilva S.** Frugal helps developers manage an AI assistant’s search usage. It turns questions into search plans, previews their expected cost, selects suitable SerpApi engines, and reuses stored results to reduce repeated requests.
- **Trivandrum Python (TriPy):** [**ReviewRing**](https://github.com/kruxarth/serpapi-hackathon)**, by Krutarth Fulare.** ReviewRing helps users examine the reviews behind a Google Maps rating. It uses SerpApi to retrieve reviews and public reviewer histories, highlight patterns such as repeated text or unusual bursts, and show how setting selected reviews aside changes the sample’s rating.
- **HydPy:** [**ReviewRing**](https://github.com/kalyan678/reviewring)**, by Kalyan Prasad.** While Krutarth’s project focuses on understanding an individual business’s rating, Kalyan’s ReviewRing explores connections across businesses. It uses SerpApi to turn public reviewer histories into an interactive network, helping users investigate shared reviewing patterns.

## Best in Each Track

Each track winner receives **10,000 SerpApi credits**.

Track awards go to the highest-ranked eligible project in each track after excluding overall and community award winners.

- **AI Agents:** [**PatchPilot**](https://github.com/sankalp2515/PatchPilot)**, by Sankalp Wanjari.** PatchPilot helps developers repair integration code when an external API changes. It uses SerpApi to find official documentation, proposes a focused patch, and checks the revised code against supplied test cases before handing it back for review.
- **Open-Source Integrations:** [**SearchMesh**](https://github.com/varmaleena/SearchMesh)**, by Leena Varma.** SearchMesh coordinates SerpApi searches across multiple AI workers. It shares compatible requests, checks whether stored results meet freshness requirements, and recovers search tasks when a worker stops responding.
- **Travel & Local Discovery:** [**TripShock**](https://github.com/krakken190/Trip%5FShock)**, by Prajwal Dongre.** TripShock answers questions such as “What if we leave a day later?” It creates an alternative itinerary, searches the affected flights and hotels through SerpApi, and shows the resulting price changes and scheduling conflicts.
- **Commerce & Market Intelligence:** [**GapCity**](https://github.com/raj921/gapcity)**, by Raj Kumar Guthala.** GapCity helps prospective business owners identify neighborhoods worth investigating. It uses SerpApi’s Maps listings and reviews to compare nearby competitors and customer complaints, with links to the evidence behind its suggestions.
- **Knowledge & Public Interest:** [**NeerTathya**](https://github.com/mohitt31/jaldrishti)**, by Mohit Prajapati.** NeerTathya helps researchers and journalists find arsenic and fluoride measurements for places in West Bengal. SerpApi helps discover government reports and research papers, which become a searchable evidence library with references to the source documents.
- **Open Innovation:** [**VersionVerdict**](https://github.com/Ananay28425/VersionVerdict)**, by Ananay Srivastava and Aditya Singh.** VersionVerdict helps developers check whether technical advice applies to their software version. It uses SerpApi to find documentation and discussions, then examines the available evidence to explain whether the advice fits or remains uncertain.

## Thank You to Our Participants and Community Partners

Congratulations to all the winners, and thank you to everyone who submitted. We enjoyed seeing the different problems you chose to work on and the ways you used search data to address them.

A special thank you to our community partners: **BangPypers, PyDelhi, AI Geeks Chennai, Trivandrum Python (TriPy), and HydPy**. Your support helped us reach developers and bring these projects into the hackathon.

We will be reaching out to the winners soon to coordinate prizes.
