Open source doesn’t run on magic. It runs on maintainers. In 2025, we sponsored projects we rely on *and* projects we believe will have a broad impact across the tech industry.

Below is a recap of our sponsorship efforts this year—what we supported, how we approached it, and where we’re heading next.

## Projects we fund

Ensure to check out their awesome projects!

- [Rails Foundation](https://rubyonrails.org/foundation) ($25,000)
- [RubyGems](https://rubygems.org/) / RubyCentral ($5,000)
- [Django Foundation](https://www.djangoproject.com/foundation/) ($12,500)
- [FastApi](https://github.com/fastapi/fastapi) ($6,000)
- [cURL](https://curl.se/) ($1,200)
- [OpenAPI generator](https://github.com/OpenAPITools/openapi-generator) ($1,200)
- [Let's encrypt](https://letsencrypt.org/) ($10,000)

We also sponsor individual projects that benefit the community.

- [Newspaper 3K](https://github.com/codelucas/newspaper)
- [Ruby-OpenAI](https://github.com/alexrudall/ruby-openai)

We're allocating more than $60,000 this year to open-source projects. It's roughly translated to +$2,800 per developer as we have 21 developers on our team in 2025\. Of course, we're planning to continue and expand our support this year (2026).

*To every maintainer and contributor: thank you!*

We hope more companies will join us in supporting maintainers, funding sustainability, and giving back to the open-source projects we all rely on.

P.S. We are very happy when we found the [Open Source Pledge](https://opensourcepledge.com/), check it out and join us!
